In a time where even supermodels need to be photoshopped to perpetuate the shallowest illusion of perfection, the mostly obese populus cannot be blamed for hunkering to perfect its own image to fullfil the dream of stepping into the coffin looking like Agyness Deyn. (Michael, forgive me the pun.) Sure a little moisturizing helps, but all these unfounded claims of collagen, cytokines, etc. etc? Just another vial of the Empress’ newest cream. Vanitas vanitatum et omnia vanitas.

I’m a long term Olay Pro-X and Regenerist user but I am unimpressed by the ingredients in this product. Most of the ingredients are found in other skin care preparations and squalane (sometimes from shark’s oil) has been around for a long time. I have used pure squalane on my eyes for weeks with no noticeable difference.
Although this product goes on fine and I’ll finish using the container, I recommend Olay Pro-X Eye Restoration Complex or the less expensive version, Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum both of which contain niacidamide.

Olay promises instant results for morning puffy eye syndrome. That never happened after 3+ weeks of trying this stuff. However, I like the “pen roller” because the massage feels nice and doesn’t hurt the very sensitive skin under the eyes. My eyes have broken out a few times when I tried to treat them, but not with this product.
The advantage of the product is having a safe way to treat the eyes. But it doesn’t improve appearance any faster than not treating them. The puffiness from allergies goes down about the same time as it does with or without the Olay product.
I’d buy it again if they could lower the price just to be able to keep moisturizing around the eyes and getting a little massage. The price is steep for something that doesn’t show any anti-aging results.

This was a gift for a friend. To protect the identity of her wrinkles, the friend shall remain nameless. When I asked about how she liked the “roller”, she was not particular enthused. The biggest complaint that she had is the application of the roller. According to my friend, she felt the need to “press the roller down really hard to get anything out”. Given the sensitive nature of application site, she reported she would rather use a traditional cream or serum by hand, rather than “poking her eyes with a glue stick”. I asked her if the thing at least worked in the “anti-aging” department. She retorted with a “what do you think?”. Luckily, I choked back on the immediate response of “looks the same to me” and commented on her youthful complexion. I would say this product is a bust. Too much trouble for very little gain.

Sorry to be blunt, but all this product does is spread a layer of sticky, shiny residue under your eyes, which is supposed to give the illusion of “smoothness.” Unfortunately, if you rub or touch under your eyes at any point afterwards, the “smoothness” rubs off and collects in little residual pieces that get in your eyes and all over your face. Not pretty.
It gets two stars for the ease of application. The roller is convenient and easy to use. But it doesn’t make you look younger or less puffy.
